The Evolution of Modern Language

Here we are in the twenty first century; we have the ability to speak, read, write, create, and collaborate. We have the means to be intelligent articulate beings. So why have we begun to disassemble the English language?

1: Never Trust Seamen. I Kid You Not

I’m not sure why these professors in college say they need an interesting beginning.  “Make it evocative; make it powerful,” they say.  Or they would, if big words like “evocative” appeared in their personal dictionaries.  Actually, they’re more likely to resort to plain speech.  “Make sure you make the beginning interesting for the person who’s reading your essay so that they  don’t get bored.”  What is happening t

This book is a collection of my creative nonfiction assignments from college.

I may do one of these posts every now and again, because I enjoy sharing games that may not be so well-known, and deserve better. They aren't going to be game reviews in a strict sense, but I will focus on the aspects of a particular game that really attracted me. It will usually have more to do with the story, atmosphere, and themes than the graphics or gameplay.

That brings me to the game I'm going to talk about this time: Homeworld.

And now, you can see the difference between when I'm just writing for fun and when I'm forced to over-edit something.
