Your heart, thumping—louder and louder. I can hear it over the crackling fire, the branches beneath my feet, as I pace back and forth. So loud, the beating has an echo. I know it. I know what it is and I love it. It’s fear. I can feel it. I inhale and I can feel you—your fear. You don’t know me, but I know you. I’ve known you forever. In my dreams, you encompass every night. I’ve dreamt of this moment.

This moment when you become mine.
