"Baby you my eh'ething, you all I ehr wanted. We can do it real big, bigger than you ehr done it." The rapper's raspy voice twanged out of the radio. We were about halfway there at  this point. The busy highway was crawling with cars. Like shiny metal bugs, trying to get where ever they were going as fast as possible. My mom sat next to me in the driver seat. 2 .== The Eternal Composition

Christian never slept. Rather, he suspected sleep never came for him. He used to remember drifting off, losing time, measuring how long he'd been out.

Since becoming a Composer, though, time seemed more flexible. Hours, days, weeks--he couldn't distinguish between then anymore. One Movement could take all day. Directing the Players, the Instruments, shaping the Melodies, carving out the Notes. Time gradually meant less and less to him, the longer he composed.
