Chapter 13

Chapter 13: The Iteration of Thought

Capac's corpse found its new home at the bottom of a shallow creek not far from the time. Sag and I found it after nearly an hour of searching the surrounding area, hoping for something more substantial, but we came up empty.

Chapter 5

Chapter 5: One and the Same

Phyllis pulled out the sofa bed for me. It didn't look very comfortable. I remember my grandparents having one that they made me sleep on when I was a kid, visiting them. Come to think, it might have been this very couch. Jesus. I hoped not. Then again, it might explain why it was so damn uncomfortable to my preteen self--my middle-aged self had thoroughly worn it out. Hmm.

Chapter 4

Chapter 4: Attitude Adjustments

From the side of the highway, Phyllis smoked a cigarette while I leaned against the white Aries, arms crossed. No one was around--not in the forest, in any case--so I remotely linked up with the Nova and let 'er rip. You could barely hear the explosion this far out. Fire would quickly consume the surrounding area. The crater left behind would look an awful lot like a meteor strike. The remaining debris would be so much twisted metal it would be difficult to determine it came from anything other than a flying rock.

Chapter 1

The bird was going nowhere fast. This would have been obvious to another bird, a rabbit, even your cleverer types of human, but not, apperently this particular specemin of... whatever she was.

Stained Glass

A celebration with family. Although, acceptance is certain, this is not family.
Where is my family? Miles away. Miles and pain separate us. All of us.
What happened to the days of outdoor barbecues and birthday parties?

January 6th

gorzek's picture

It was January 6th
when the ice came rolling down
when it came it covered everything
from the treetops to the ground
the transformers, they were flashing
purple, green, and blue
and the people, I watched them scramble
as they wondered what to do

So we drove on down the road
in the stark eerie darkness
the world it seemed had stopped
and the trees, they were a mess
so the cars piled on the street
not knowing where to go
until they saw that store ahead
