Terms of Use

Please read these terms carefully before registering.

Bookzek is a privately-run site. While membership is open to the public, Bookzek's administrators reserve the right to revoke access to any user at any time, for any reason. As a general rule, users will not be arbitrarily banned. However, habitual troublemakers may be reprimanded, and eventually banned.

Here are some general rules of conduct:

• Treat others the way you would want to be treated.
• Avoid the use of racial, ethnic, religious, or sexual slurs. Directing such slurs against others users will not be tolerated, unless it happens to be funny.
• Do not post any writing to this site unless you hold the copyright, or you have permission from the person who does.
• Do not habitually harass other users.
• Do not spam the forums with requests for comments. Post such requests in the Workshop forum.

When posting your work to Bookzek, use your best judgment. Adult content is not strictly prohibited, but it should be appropriately tagged with "adult content". We are fairly flexible and committed to free, creative expression. If you are uncertain whether something is acceptable, send a private message to gorzek or Pythia for input.

You grant Bookzek a non-exclusive right to reproduce and archive anything you post here. Without granting us that right, we could not display your work to anyone else, so it's a bit on the necessary side. All other rights are reserved to you and are at your discretion. If you delete any content from this site, it will exist only in our backups.

We will not sell or market your work to anyone else. We may, from time to time, run ads or other promotions to generate revenue.

All of these terms can be summed up as: don't be a jerk to us, and we won't be jerks to you.
